Our ministry promotes Life from natural conception until natural death through prayer, education, legislation, and pastoral programs. The encyclical that governs our ministry is Pope St. John Paul II’s Gospel of Life and his Theology of the Body is promoted as a source of education. We implement the pastoral plan for Pro-Life activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Specific dates and prayers are provided to us through the USCCB and the Atlanta Archdiocese Respect Life Director’s office. The Respect Life Ministry works to build a culture that cherishes and respects every human life.
“Many of the people who look forward to a long life put off doing good works, since they think that they will have plenty of time before they die. As for me, I prefer to be among those who consider that they have no time to lose if they wish to give God all the glory that they can before they die.”
-St. Margaret of Hungary
We’ve made a change in how we share updates—flyers will no longer be placed on doors. You can now find all the Respect Life Ministry information on the message board, located in Marian Hall in the hallway on your right, inside the glass case.
“Mary’s Role: Foretold and Fulfilled. Mary’s role in our lives and the life of the Church was foretold in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New. Come join us as we look at the similarities between Old Testament figures and our blessed Mother Mary.” The ministry has a very special Afternoon Tea planned for you.
All mothers and those who love them are warmly welcome.
